Small on purpose.
Kingdom Kidz is an owner-operated learning center in east Charlotte. Sheila Beasley runs it herself, and knows every child and every parent who comes through the door.
Why a second shift
Charlotte does not stop at six o'clock. Nurses, warehouse teams, restaurant staff and retail closers all need somewhere safe for their children in the evening, and almost no center offers it. Kingdom Kidz opens again from 6 to 11 pm so that working evenings does not mean piecing together care.
What a day includes
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are always included. Infants have their own room focused on movement, sound and first motor skills. Older children get before- and after-school care, and summers bring real trips out of the building.
